The dam is full, the sun is out, and adventure is calling! Our Scouts have been itching to get their feet wet (quite literally) and race their handcrafted rafts across the sparkling water. But as every good Scout knows, fun is always better when shared.
That’s why, on 21 March 2026, the Graaff Reinet Scouts will be hosting an unforgettable Raft Race Day—a day packed with teamwork, excitement, friendly competition, and good old Scout spirit. We’ll also be selling tickets to help raise much-needed funds to support the ongoing running costs of our troop.
But to make this event truly epic… we need your help.

Even if you can’t sponsor the event financially, there are still many ways you can help us turn this day into a roaring success:
• Enter the race! Form a team, build a raft, and take on the mighty waters in the spirit of adventure.
• Join us as a spectator. Bring your family, cheer on the teams, and enjoy the stalls, food, and festive atmosphere.
• Volunteer on the day. Our Scouts will be up to their elbows in rope, barrels, and poles, so extra hands to help manage the event would be truly appreciated.
