Dear Scouts and Parents,
We’re excited to announce that our Troop website is really starting to take shape and is looking fantastic! To make it even better, we need your help to showcase the spirit and skills of our Scouts.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers (in full uniform) to help us create some awesome content for the site. Here’s how you can get involved:
Photo Opportunities
We’d love to feature Scouts in action! If you’re willing to help, we need photos taken against a natural or “Scouty” background of Scouts demonstrating the following:
- Presenting the Scout Sign
- Giving the Correct Scout Salute
- Performing the Scout Handshake
Video Demonstrations
Short, clear videos are a great way to teach and inspire others. We need volunteers to help us film:
- How to fold a flag correctly
- How to perform a flag break and lower the flag with respect
Scout Knots – Video Tutorials
Knots are a vital part of Scouting! We’d like to create a series of short videos showing how to tie these essential knots:
- Reef Knot
- Sheet Bend
- Figure of Eight
- Bowline
- Fisherman’s Knot
- Round Turn & Two Half Hitches
- Clove Hitch
- Square Lashing
- Whipping (Simple and Sailmaker’s)
How to Get Involved:
If you’re interested in helping, please let me know which photos or videos you’d like to be part of.
You can work alone or with a friend—just make sure you’re in uniform and have a neat background.
Parents, your support with filming or taking photos would be greatly appreciated!
