1st Graaff-Reinet Scout Group

The 1st Graaff‑Reinet Scouts had an unforgettable evening at the Union High School swimming pool as they took on the Swimming Scoutcraft Badge. With older Scouts stepping up to help run evaluation stations, the atmosphere felt like a true display of teamwork and Scout spirit. Dozens of brave swimmers hit the water to face the badge’s demanding challenges, and by the end of the night, 11 Scouts had successfully completed every requirement — a fantastic achievement and a testament to their determination.

Our new recruits were just as busy. While they aren’t yet able to attempt the badge, they received coaching from the Scouters and were given the chance to work toward their Membership Test. We’re proud to share that 6 recruits passed, taking an exciting step closer to becoming fully invested members of the troop.

A huge thank‑you goes to Union High School for generously allowing us to use their pool and facilities. Their support helps us give our Scouts the opportunities, challenges, and adventures that make evenings like this one truly memorable.
